Great bike especially for the price
I bought this bike mainly because it was cheap and you get a dual suspension dual disk break bike for the price of a cheap regular one. The bike parts are cheap and the bicycle takes quite a bit of effort to assemble and tune. However, at the end you are left with a quite nice bike for under 80 quid. The gears are Falcon ( not Shimano ) the break handles are plastic and the frame is slightly off so it takes some effort to get the disk breaks adjusted so that they don't scrap the break pads. However it is possible to adjust everything and to get it working almost perfectly. For the price you get a lot of quality and a heck of a bike. The ride is smooth. You get a soft seat ( not a racing one ). Tools are included for adjusting everything and while they are mostly cheap tools they do the job quite nicely. An extra screw driver might be handy.
This is a great bike for a daily commute or for your leisure time. This is NOT a sports bike that can handle a lot of abuse.

bike was delivered very quickly but a fault appeared and rang thier number to find out what i could do got told to send them photos of fault then they would look in to it,thought they might have said we will send new bike and you can send the old won back in the new ones packaging so not very impressed with their after sales service 3/10

Excellent bike but poor assembly & tools provided

Raleigh Roam Unisex Bike - 26" Inch

The bike is excellent but no proper tools provided for assembling it. Also it didn't come with proper gear adjustment so definitely you have to take this to a professional on high street to get it assembled and thus end up spending £20 or more as an additional cost.

top class bike for the money previous reviews said a difficult assembly but a set of allen keys,adjustable spanner and a cross head screwdriver had me on the road within an hour.i bought a side entry bottle holder and have not experienced any problems with it fouling the front suspension.very comfortable ride with easy to operate gears

bargain... no frills bike

nice little bike for the money. as in previous review, tools are limited and you WILL need to dig out a set of allan keys and a spanner, to finish of the assembly, the instructions is comes with are not really that great, and very basic, other than that its great.

Great bike, but a few problems
Hey people
Just got this, bike, it rocks, best bike I had so far
but....there are some minor problems,
Firstly: when you change into a lower gear, sometimes the chain can come off the wheely thing (no idea what it is called :) )
this is simply fixed and has happened on every mountain type bike i have ever owned, so for me is no biggy
Secondly: the mudguards are crappy and don't really work or look good, but you could solve this by simply not attaching them in the first place
Overall, a fan-tubby-tastic bike and a great bargin, especially at this price

Disapointed
Just got this bike and was very happy with it but then on first ride out we went on a 6 mile bike ride and the peddle snapped and the bolt at the bottom of the frame came out leaving the frame twisted and very dangerous to ride. It wasn't like we were riding dowm a mountain it was only a canal. Also the haddle bar gips are a bit small and I found the a bit uncomfotable. I appreciate I may just have been unlucky and received a faulty one. Other than that the bike seemed like a nice bike but after my experiences with it I couldn't recommend it.

not bad for the price

this bike is a sound value for money product. there were a few teething problems with my individual bike, the gears, rattle, and the wheels have a slight wobble. the build quality is reasonable, but not exceptional, you have to check all nuts n bolts to be sure, but all in all, not a bad buy

great value!
This is a good value bike at full price (£90) but at less than £60 these are a bargin. the gear change seams a bit stiff when i set it up but i can not say what it is like when riding because i'm too big for it. If you want a good bike with non of that suspension rubbish then you can not go wrong with one of these.

Fantastic Bike!!!
I bought this bike for my little brother who is 8 years old. This was the first time I ever bought a bike, so I was naturally horrified to find that i had put the bike together! But it was actually very easy to put together. i done it under 1hour. The gears was very stiff at the beginning but loosened up after a week or so. The only complain i can have about the bike is its seat. THE SEATS ARE NOT AT ALL COMFORTABLE TO SIT ON. This is the only reason this bike is getting a four star. Other than that, the bike is Very Good.
